Dark Lips Blushing, Dark Lips Neutralization, or Dark Lips Correction (as referred to in the industry) is a highly specialized technique, one of the most difficult to perform, requiring a highly skilled artist. It is considered a Dark Lips Lightening Treatment.

It’s important to understand that we cannot use any color you want, especially if you have dark lips. What you see in the ink bottle is not necessarily what you’ll get after healing on the skin—this is SCIENCE.

Pigments have different formulations that may appear pink in the bottle, but due to their composition, they may heal as dark as black on individuals with darker lips. Dark lips refer to anyone with a noticeably darker top lip or darker outer corners of the bottom lip. This also includes women of African American and Black descent, as well as many Hispanic, Asian, mixed, and even some Caucasian backgrounds. Dark lips also include those with "blue" or "purple" undertones caused by coldness. Results generally last 3+ years.

Please keep in mind that this technique requires at least two - three sessions. We need to monitor progress one session at a time, with a minimum of two months between sessions. I use safe pigments that focus on lightening the lips and/or correcting the "blue" and "purple" undertones in the skin. I will do my absolute best to achieve your desired end color, but the exact result cannot be controlled as precisely as it is with a normal lip blush. The target end colors are beige, light tan, pink, or peachy.
